The Tallawarra B Upgrade Project was significant in many ways. The Project is a duplication of the existing A Power Station, with the intent to increase power output to the local Pot Kembla and Wollongong areas of NSW.
The heavy transport components included the Transformer, Generator and Rotor – all loads required transport on Beam Set and Platform Trailers.
Installation utilised the capacity of Lampson’s Jacking and Rail System plus a Goldhofer SPMT to transport these loads around the site. A Manitowoc 2250 and Grove RT-880 also provided site lifting capabilities.
